In a promo running on all their social media platforms, the four anchors joining KTN are; Frida Mwaka, Jesse Rogers, Brenda Czeda Radido, and Maalika Kazia.

The new team dubbed the “Next Generation” is set to inject new blood in news reporting and presentation. Frida Mwaka used to work with Kubamba Radio, Maalika Kezia was at East Fm and Brenda Radido was formerly at KBC while Jesse Rogers was at KU TV.

Young generation

KTN had remained silent as Royal Media service Owned station Citizen TV, BBC and K24 poached some of its top presenters, but as it appears now, they were working behind the scenes to counter the losses.

According to sources from the Mombasa Road based media house, they have opted not to recycle old faces as a way of giving the young generation a chance to shine.

Experienced anchors at KTN include, Linda Ogutu, Ben Kitili, Sophia Wanuna, Ali Manzu, Lofti Matambo among others.

KTN has lost a number of top presenters including Yvonne Okwara, Joe Ageyo and Mashirima Kapombe, to Citizen TV and most recently Betty Kyalo to K24.

Citizen is certainly the biggest beneficiary of the movements among local media companies after poaching a good number of Journalists from NTV, among them; Rashid Abdalla, Victoria Rubadiri, Nimroad Taabu, Kimani Mbugua and Jamila Mohamed.
